Workspace Technology hosted a Big Brew Up event to raise vital funds for SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, supporting both current and former member of our Armed Forces and their families.
The Big Brew Up is SSAFA’s biggest annual fundraiser with supporters of our Armed Forces coming together across the UK. The event sees people get together with family, friends and colleagues for a cup of tea and a slice of cake. All money raised goes towards providing vital support for the military community.
The tea and cake extravaganza took place on 3rd November at Workspace Technology’s Colocation facility in Sutton Coldfield and raised a smashing £500.00 and Dawn Smiley, Head of Marketing says:
“Taking part in the Big Brew Up was a great opportunity to raise money for the incredible work that SSAFA does, and it was a lot of fun too! It is a special feeling to know that we’re joining thousands of people across the world to raise a teacup to our Armed Forces. They do an amazing job and we’re thrilled to show our support through the Big Brew Up”.
The event bought suppliers, staff and local Councillors together to indulge in some homemade cake and even taking their chances at the Tea Taste Teaser to see if their taste buds could identify a selection of teas. A good afternoon was had by all and a significant amount raised for a very worthy cause.
Workspace Technology are keen to support SSAFA as we work with the defence sector as well has employing ex-service personnel. The Armed Forces Charity therefore is the perfect cause to benefit from our ongoing fundraising events and we will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
