Workspace Technology Secures Four Year Framework Agreement to develop the South East Wales Public Sector Shared Resource Services Data Centre located in Blaenavon.
Officially opened in February 2011 the Shared Resource Services is a flagship, hi-tech centre located in Blaenavon. This centre in Victoria House is the IT nerve centre for Torfaen and Monmouthshire councils and Gwent Police.
Officially opened by First Minister Carwyn Jones, the SRS is part of a wider plan to turn Torfaen into a digital hub for South East Wales.
Workspace Technology designed and built the initial phase of the data centre in 2010/2011. Following the tender process in 2011 Workspace Technology was awarded a four year "Framework Agreement" contract which is worth up to £12m to work in partnership with SRS to further develop the facility.
