Workspace Technology, the data centre design and build specialists, have been selected as finalists for five separate individual awards in the upcoming 2016 Network Computing Awards including awards for Project, Product and Company achievements.
- Company of the Year - Workspace Technology
- Network Project of the Year - Public Sector
- Data Centre Product of the Year – Freecool®
- Return of Investment Award – Freecool®
- Product of the Year – Freecool®
This will be the second occasion that Workspace Technology has been nominated as a finalist at the Network Computing Awards having previously won the Data Centre Product of the Year 2015 last year for their Freecool® direct free air evaporative cooling systems.
The Data Centre specialists are in a strong position to defend their Data Centre Product of the Year award at this year’s ceremony having significantly developed the renowned Freecool® range during the last 12 months. The brand now includes indirect free air cooling units that provide the same energy efficient evaporative cooling as the direct fresh air Freecool®, but without the need to pump external air into the data centre. Other developments include the new G6 modular and scalable Freecool® modules providing clients the ability to possess a completely modular and instantly deployable cooling solution that will grow in line with users increasing compute demands.
Roy Griffiths, Managing Director of Workspace Technology commented “We are pleased that Workspace Technology has been nominated again as award finalists. Being nominated in five categories, including the chance to defend our Data Centre Product of the Year 2015 title for Freecool® as well as winning other categories such as Return on Investment Award and Network Project of the Year, is a testament in how our energy efficient designs, solutions and products are truly having a substantial and beneficial impact on IT environments throughout the UK.”
“We would like to thank our clients, readers and subscribers of Network Computing Magazine for nominating Workspace Technology to become finalist.”
Workspace Technology’s Freecool® evaporative cooling systems, nominated for three awards, provides organisations with the ability to greatly reduce the cost of running a data centre, with the binary benefit of low capital deployment costs combined with reduced operational costs through the effective application of energy efficiency.
The Network Computing Awards acknowledge and reward organisations and exceptional products that have enhanced and improved an organisation’s IT Systems and Infrastructure through a mixture of optimisation, energy efficiency and technological advancements.
The winners will be announced at the 9th Annual Network Computing Awards ceremony taking place at the Hotel Russell in London’s Russell Square on the 17th March.
