Workspace Technology Unveil Colocation Data Centre in Birmingham

DC One, Workspace Technology’s state-of-the-art modular colocation data centre has been unveiled and officially opened by Rt Hon Andrew Mitchell MP, in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham. The launch day event consisted of presentations and speeches by a range of expert guest speakers from the data centre industry, including key representatives from Schneider Electric, GEA and Digital Birmingham, as well as guided tours of the Live Facility.

DC One, conveniently located in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham in the West Midlands, just minutes from both M42 and M6 motorways and was built to meet the growing demands for high quality enterprise class data centre capacity within the Birmingham and surrounding areas, was officially opened by The Rt. Hon Andrew Mitchell, MP for Sutton Coldfield & former Minister.

The DC One opening launch day event consisted of a wide range of expert speakers from both the data centre industry and also representatives from Birmingham’s Digital and Smart City program. This is an initiative that aims to ensure that the benefits of digital technologies are available to all, their aspiration to make Birmingham City smarter and provide people and businesses with the tools to maximise their potential.

The launch also gave the opportunity for guests to be treated to behind the scene tours of this live next generation co-location facility.

Not only do Workspace Technology Ltd deliver unique data centre design and build solutions for multiple blue chip organisations they are now providing their own colocation facilities, designed, built and managed by this multi-award winning company.
